Say Something

Hi Moms:
My daughter asked me:  Why do so many bad people share their negative opinions so boldly, while some good people never say anything?
My answer: I don't know.
When was the last time you stood up for a cause; rejected a racist joke someone shared; stood alone on an issue supported by the majority?
The Good People must learn to speak up and share our views even when they aren't popular. If we don't speak up, the rocks are going to cry out!

Words Have Power

Hi Moms:
I've been told:
Watch your thoughts, they become words; watch your words, they become actions; watch your actions, they become habits; watch your habits, they become character; watch your character, for it becomes your destiny. - Author Unknown

Planning Ahead

Hi Moms:
Many of us know how to earn money and spend money, but we have challenges saving money! So if you struggle with money management, get advice from a professional. A financial planner can educate you on ways to budget as you build your families nest egg.  So learn to share, spend and save your money. It could make your financial future a lot brighter.

Truly Appreciated

Hi Moms:
All  of us have days where we don't know our value. No one said thanks when you served breakfast. Your boss didn't praise you for your outstanding presentation. Your children didn't help wash the dishes after dinner.  But Proverbs 31:29 says: "There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!" Your value isn't measured day to day; your value is forever!

Girl's Night Out!

Hi Moms:
There is nothing like being with your Girlfriends! I mean the ones you can trust, tell your secrets to; those friends that have your back forever! To paraphrase John 15:13, there is no greater love than when someone will lay down their life for a friend. What friends do you love? Find ways to show love to them today.

Making a List

Hi Moms:
Many of us struggle with forgiveness. It can be a challenge to forgive those who have hurt us, both physically and mentally. But sometimes the hardest person to forgive is ourselves. The definition of being a Mom can be hard to live up to. So don't feel you'll have to get it right everytime to be a great Mom. As we forgive others, also learn to forgive yourself too.

Slow Down

Hi Moms:
Some days, motherhood can be a complete blur! You don't even remember what you did the entire day and now it's bed time. But enjoy these days.  The time between pre-school and high school goes by way too fast. So slow down. Family time is special time.

Ways to Win

Hi Moms:
I've been told, when you have haters, you must be doing something worthwhile.  Haters are afraid of you and are terrified by your potential. But don't let your enemies deflate you.  Use their insecurities to ignite your purpose!

Everyone Makes Mistakes

Hi Moms:
Parenting is a blessing, but it's also hard work. And like any job, you won't get things right everyday.  We all have made mistakes. So if you blow your top, forgot to sign the permission slip or missed the Parent/Teacher Conference just realize we've all been there. Breath. Tomorrow is another day.

Your Choices Matter

Hi Moms:
Motherhood doesn't mean perfection. Everyone makes mistakes. But now our mistakes don't just affect us, they also affect our children. When I was a child, we had a phrase that began,  "Stop, look, listen...". Let's do the same before we make decisions. Stop and think; don't make quick judgements. Look at the situation with the facts, not assumptions. And listen to that rational quiet voice within you before you make your final choice. Choose Wisely.

Why?

Hi Moms:

When I was growing up and my parents gave me a task, on the rare occasion when I asked them why, they’d strongly say, “Because I said so!”  If I didn’t listen, I had to live with the consequences.  You didn’t question their wisdom or authority.  Sometimes when we question God, He says, “Because I said so.” Are you listening?
